Common Scoter Melanitta nigra Marton Mere Nature Reserve Blackpool

When I spotted this pair at distance I thought it was a female Ruddy duck alongside a Coot, on closer inspection I realised it was a pair of Common Scoter, my first ever sighting of these birds. Very heavily cropped photos I'm afraid.
